Vreni Gust Promoted to VP, Chief Marketing Officer at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust

Lebanon, New Hampshire – Vreni Gust has been promoted to Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. As CMO, she leads the coordination and delivery of all marketing, advertising, social media, and public relations activities across the Bank’s three-state service area of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. She works closely with partners across the Bank’s business lines and footprint to promote the Bank’s spirit, philosophy, dedication, and general direction.

Vreni has been with the Bank for 9 years. She began as a Marketing Brand Specialist in 2016 for Lake Sunapee Bank, which was later acquired by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. She was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Marketing Coordinator in 2017 and then to Vice President, Product & Segment Marketing Manager in 2018. Before her tenure at the Bank, she served as Event Coordinator for Enfield Shaker Museum and Events and Administrative Coordinator for the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce, which now operates as part of the Upper Valley Business Alliance.
 
Vreni earned a Master of Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Alfred University. Vreni is also a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking.
 
Vreni is active in her community and serves on the Young Bankers Committee for the New Hampshire Bankers Association. She previously served as a board member and Application Review Committee Chair for Upper Valley Habitat for Humanity and as an ambassador for Upper Valley Young Professionals.
 
Vreni, her husband, Matt Young, and their two children reside in White River Junction, Vermont.
