Advance Transit to Launch New, User-Friendly Website on August 19th

Advance Transit, the Upper Valley's fare-free public transportation provider, is excited to announce the launch of its new website (advancetransit.com) on Tuesday, August 19th. The redesigned site will provide a more intuitive and seamless experience for riders, making it easier than ever to navigate the bus system.

The new website has been built with user convenience in mind, offering a host of new features to enhance trip planning and access to information.

Key improvements include:
  • Simplified Trip Planning: Users will find it easier to plan their bus journeys with a more streamlined and intuitive interface.
  • Enhanced Route and Schedule Information: Accessing up-to-date route and schedule details will be more direct and user-friendly.
  • Real-time Service Alerts: Riders can quickly and easily find information on service changes, delays, and other important alerts.

In addition to these core improvements, the new website will introduce several innovative features to better serve the community:
  • Interactive Live Service Map: A dynamic map will allow users to track buses in real-time, providing a clearer picture of their location and estimated arrival times. Compared to Advance Transit’s previous system, new 5G modems installed in every bus will improve the reliability, accuracy, and timeliness of the real-time information provided.
  • Improved Search Functionality: Finding specific information, such as a bus stop or a particular schedule, will be faster and more efficient with the new, robust search tool.

“Feedback from community members is so important to us at Advance Transit. We often hear people tell us that they want clear, easy-to-use options for getting information about public transit." said Adams Carroll, Advance Transit Executive Director. "We’re launching this new website to empower our riders with tools to make their travel experience with Advance Transit as smooth as possible."

Community members are invited to a sneak peek of the new website and provide valuable feedback before the official launch. The preview can be accessed at staging.advancetransit.com. Feedback can be submitted through the dedicated feedback form at staging.advancetransit.com/customer-service/website-feedback.

Funding for the new website was provided by a federal grant for public transit capital projects administered by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. The 5G modems were funded by the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s Mobility and Transportation Innovation grant.

Advance Transit encourages everyone to explore the new site and looks forward to its official launch on August 19th.
