Upper Valley Welcome Wagon 1-Year Celebration
Join GMEDC, along with SHARe VT/NH, on First Friday (3/6) at The Main Street Museum as we celebrate the 1-year anniversary of Upper Valley Welcome Wagon! It's been an amazing journey over the past year welcoming so many new neighbors and strengthening community with locals. Over the past year, we brought together over 140 new residents and 240 locals across 19 community events. Whether you're a passionate local host or brand new to the area, we want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who's been part of the UV Welcome Wagon Community. Expect great vibes, new friends, and plenty of food as we mark this special milestone together.
Here's what to expect at the event:
Piano music and vocals by David
Free pizza and wings from C&S Pizza (BYOB)
Cozy fire pit with free s'mores supplies
Raffle to benefit SHARe VT/NH (see below)
We're also excited to announce that we'll be raffling off several items to benefit Supporting and Helping Asylees and Refuges (SHARe) of VT/NH. SHARe is a founding member of the Vermont-New Hampshire Asylum Support Network, nine community-based asylum support groups who work together to foster collaboration, share best practices, build capacity, raise public awareness about the benefits of welcoming, and advocate for policies and funding that support our collective work and the asylum seekers at the heart of our missions. All proceeds of the raffle will go towards supporting their important work the Upper Valley and helping to grow their capacity to welcome newcomers.
Raffle items include:
VIP Lift Passes to Saskedena Six ($70 value)
JAM Spring Film & Media Courses ($140+ value)`
Gift cards to local restaurants and businesses ($25-$50 value)
Don't miss out on the Welcome Wagon—see you there!
