Teacher Workshop: Teaching Life Cycles, Habitats, and Seasonal Change with Insects and Amphibians

Learn how aquatic insects and amphibians adapt to New England's changing seasons, extreme temperature shifts, a short growing season, wet spring and dry summers. In this workshop you’ll learn how to identify frogs by appearance and sound, and delve into the life cycle of dragonflies, mosquitoes, and other aquatic insects. You’ll leave with ideas and skills for teaching hands-on classroom activities, including collecting and maintaining organisms in the classroom. Teachers of grades 1-3. Fee: $125.
