Teacher Workshop: Experimental Design and Using Evidence: The Next Generation Science Standards in the 4-6 Classroom
Friday, January 10, 2014, 9 am – 2 pm
Explore ways to help your students develop their inquiry skills, and learn how to bring student research experiences into your science units, for teachers of grades 4-6. The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) includes important performance expectations for students to demonstrate they have met the standards, but little guidance on how to meet those goals in your classroom. Arrive at a richer understanding of the Scientific Practices outlined in the NGSS through hands-on activities and discussions. Grades 4-6. Fee: $125. Workshop is free for faculty from schools participating in Montshire’s School Partnership program. Pre-registration required.
