Teacher Workshop: Engineering in the Science Curriculum: Understanding the Next Generation Science Standards
Tuesday, February 4, 2014 9:00am - 2:00pm
Learn how to better engage your students in the practices of science and engineering as outlined in the NGSS. The NGSS integrates engineering design into science education, which will require a conceptual shift for K-12 educators striving to reflect how science and engineering are practiced in the real world. Hands-on activities and discussions will enable you to deeply understand the content of the standards and develop strategies for applying these practices in your classroom. Grades 3-8. Fee: $125. Workshop is free for faculty from schools participating in Montshire’s School Partnership program. Pre-registration required: https://www.formstack.com/forms/mms-teacher_workshop_engineering_in_curriculum_2_2014.
