Solar Eclipse Day at the Montshire
The first solar eclipse to cross the continental United States in 38 years will be an astronomical event that can’t be missed! Join space enthusiasts and astronomy educators in viewing the partial eclipse in New England. Learn about the sun, Earth, and the moon through hands-on activities and demonstrations. Add your shadow to the walkway, see how far the moon is from the sun, and take a stroll through our Planet Walk. Activities will occur rain or shine. Solar eclipse viewing will be weather dependent. We will provide sun-safe eyewear and other viewing equipment.
