Join VINS along with Markey Read and Tim King from Honey Dew Homestead to learn the techniques for changing your modern home into a self-sustaining homestead. Explore ideas ranging from growing small fruit trees to keeping bee hives to raising chickens. Create sustainable homes by utilizing your gardens for fresh seasonal foods as well as for food preservation. Instructors will discuss homestead considerations and design options including how to design successful plans. Co-sponsored by Harmony Farm. Attendees have an opportunity to design your own plans and will receive insightful feedback on ways to improve your homesteading designs. Adults 18 + Pre-registration required by January 18.
