Pentangle Arts Announces: A One of Kind Performance by Gamelan Sulukala: Indonesian & American Music for Javanese gamelan

Woodstock, VT – March 27, 2026 - concert performance, Gamelan Sulukala will appear at the newly renovated Pentangle Arts Woodstock Town Hall Theatre, Friday March 27th at 7pm. The historic Woodstock Town Hall Theatre now beautifully painted and renovated is for the community to enjoy incredible performances. The Valentine’s Day concert will be the first event held in the newly refreshed venue, making it a truly special occasion. The Javanese Gamelan is an orchestra of about 30 instruments ranging from huge gongs to tiny flutes with lots of xylophone and kettle type instruments in between, plus drumming. Currently it is being played by a community group of 12 members who range in age from their 20's to their 70's with every decade in-between represented. If you've never heard a Javanese gamelan, you are in for a rare and exquisite treat! If you have, you know this concert is not to be missed!
