Mobile App Development Workshop

Lebanon College announces a comprehensive training workshop on mobile app development with App Inventor. No more wasting time trying to figure things out on your own, let us teach you how to do it. Smartphones are everywhere and Android?s OS has made great strides to catch up with Apple?s IOS. It is estimated that by 2015, 80% of people will access the internet through their smartphones. The goal of this workshop is to expose individuals to App Inventor and demonstrate how it can be used in real world applications. Four, 3-hour hands-on sessions with several sample labs will be used to facilitate discussion with examples using App Inventor for mobile phone development. This workshop is for you if you?re a: Start-Up Solopreneur Small-Business Owner Educator looking to incorporate technology in your classroom Non-Profit And you want: An attractive mobile presence The skills and knowledge to manage them An affordable solution Google friendly options By the end of the workshop, you?ll know how to: Configure and setup App Inventor Create multiple simple mobile apps Brainstorm how you can use it to meet your individual needs Learn how to optimize and upload your app to the Google Play Store Don?t worry if you are not a ?programmer.? I promise, no experience with computer graphics, coding, or other high level computer topics is needed. At the completion of this workshop, you will have the skills required to create a simple mobile app - all by yourself. Each person attending must have created a Google account prior to the workshop. Space is limited so register early. Bringing an android smartphone is not required, however, it does make it easier to test your apps in action.
