Forest of Lights at VINS
Quechee, VT – November 14, 2024 – The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is excited to announce the return of A Forest of Lights, the third annual holiday tradition that transforms the VINS Nature Center into a brightly lit winter wonderland. This family-friendly event will run on specific evenings from November 22nd through January 4th.
A Forest of Lights exhibit invites guests to explore the winter landscape in a new way, with carefully crafted light displays that bring Vermont’s woods to life under the stars. It’s an opportunity to slow down, embrace the beauty of winter, and celebrate the season with friends and family. A campfire, hot chocolate and snacks available for purchase make this the perfect evening experience for kids and adults alike.
The exhibit changes every year. This year, visitors can look forward to a few new features including a Snow Shower Tower, Snow Globe, Whimsical Woodland with huge flowers and lit mushrooms, a large nest and wings.
“The dark, early nights at this time of year can be tough for everyone. We love seeing how A Forest of Lights brings people together in such a special way, all while spending time outside in the fresh Vermont air” said Chris Collier, Senior Director of Operations & Exhibits. “We’re excited to welcome everyone to the VINS Nature Center and celebrate the magic of the winter season together.”
