Family Camp-In

Join other families for a night of science fun at the Montshire! When the museum closes for the night, your adventure begins! Spend a night exploring the Montshire as you never have before. Create a miniature Montshire exhibit to take home as you build your own Marble Rollway. Venture outside into Science Park after dark for a tour of the Solar System. Check out the sunrise from the tower. An evening snack and breakfast are included.

Saturday evening

5:30 – 6 p.m. Check-In

6 – 6:30 p.m. Explore the exhibits

6:30 p.m.  Welcome

6:45 – 7:45 p.m. Rollways workshop

7:45 – 8:15 p.m. Snack and free exploration

8:15 – 9 p.m. Night Walk

9 – 10 p.m.  Final exhibit explorations

   Prepare for bed

Sunday morning

7 a.m.   Wake up & Pack up

7:30 a.m.  Breakfast

8 a.m.   Morning Trail Walk

9 a.m.   Final exhibit time

The Family Camp-in ends at 10 a.m. but families are welcome to stay at the museum and continue to explore on their own for as long as they would like.

What to bring:

• Sleeping bag, pad, pillow, and anything that will make you comfortable sleeping on the floor. Inflatable mattresses are allowed.

• Comfortable, layered clothing and pajamas.

• Outdoor wear appropriate for expected weather conditions, including snow and rain.

• Toiletries

Limit 12 families. Children in first grade and up. Register online. $35 per person. Pre-Registration Required.
