13th Annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby
Town of Hartford, VT - Join us for our 13th Annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby at Dewey’s Pond, Quechee Main St., Quechee, VT. Children will be placed in age-appropriate categories based on the number of registered participants. Prizes will be given for the longest fish, shortest fish and greatest gross total length of all fish caught. Food and refreshments, fishing holes, bait and limited equipment will be available. Make sure everyone is DRESSED APPROPRIATELY. Follow the parking signs to the parking area across from the Polo Fields in the Village of Quechee. Pre-registration is encouraged at the Hartford Parks & Recreation Office or register the day of the derby at the "sign-in tent". Make-up date is 2/2 (if needed).
January 25th is also Vermont’s New Free (License Free) Ice Fishing Day. If you are 15 years of age or older and you have always wanted to go ice fishing then this is your chance. Bring your family to the Hartford Parks & Recreation, Annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby and adults can fish without a Vermont State Fishing License during Vermont’s New (License Free) Ice Fishing Day.
