DESCRIPTION:Earth and Space Day\n\n	Saturday\, January 26\, 2013\n\n	10:30 am   5 pm\n\n	Celebrate science\, the wonders of the Earth\, and our place in the universe. Join us for a day of planetary and astronomical exploration at the Montshire. Museum education staff and special guests will provide a full day of activities for learners of all ages. The day includes learning about what's up in tonight's sky\, investigating large-scale processes driving our planet's systems\, and making a star clock to tell time at night. This program is part of The Dynamic Earth\, a Montshire project supported with funding from NASA.\n\n	 \n\n	Pocket Planets   Make you own scale model of the solar system to take home. Classroom.\n\n	Stellar Forensics   How do astronomers use telescopes and light to know what stars are made of? 1st Story.\n\n	The Adventures of Rocky   Join us for science puppet show about one rock's journey through the rock cycle. Theater.\n\n	Night Sky Tour   Find out about the constellations and planets visible tonight. Theater.\n\n	Fossils   Touch and explore the Montshire's fossil collection. Discovery Lab.\n\n	Meet an Astronomer   Come learn about a day in the life of an astronomer. Theater.\n\n	Make a Comet!   Help make a model comet as you learn about these icy parts of the solar system. Discovery Lab.\n\n	Solar Observation   Check out the sun (and sunspots!) and make a sundial to take home. Classroom.\n\n	Rocks and Volcanoes   Explore the different rocks that volcanoes make\, from pumice to obsidian. Discovery Lab\n\n	Night Sky Tour   Find out about the constellations and planets visible tonight. Theater.\n\n	Star Clocks   Learn how to use the big dipper to measure time and make your own star clock to take home. Classroom.\n\n	Straw Rockets   Make a miniature air powered rocket.
