Osher: Sex, Pregnancy and the Supreme Court Constitutional Rights of Women

David Bisno studied constitutional law at the Law School of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and at the Harvard Law School with Professor Laurence Tribe. He has honed his ability to help lay audiences understand the complexities of constitutional law - the interpretation of "those wise restraints which make men free." The discussion on Saturday, May 21st, looking at the history of women's rights and the present challenges the Court faces, is expected to be lively and provocative. David Bisno, retired ophthalmologist with degrees from Harvard, Dartmouth and the Washington University School of Medicine, has been leading discussion groups on a myriad of topics within institutes for lifelong learning in this country and overseas for 23 years. Having presented 26 different, full courses for OSHER@Dartmouth (formerly ILEAD) since 1993, he now engages us each year with an incisive look at the Supreme Court.
